George Civeris is a NYC-based comedian and writer, and the co-host of the acclaimed podcast StraightioLab. His debut comedy special A SENSE OF URGENCY was included in the New York Times' roundup of the "Best Comedy of 2025." He was named one of the New Faces of Comedy by the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival and most recently one of Vulture's "Comedians You Should and Will Know." StraightioLab was named the #1 comedy podcast of 2022 by New York magazine, and one of the best podcasts of the year by Esquire, Glamour, Nylon, and Time. George has written for shows on Comedy Central, FOX, and the BBC, and spent two years as a senior editor at the reboot of Gawker. Before comedy he worked in tech, academia, and journalism.
